Registration is now open for the Spring 2026 Frontiers of Cosmology Lecture with Nobel Laureate Adam Riess
The Frontiers of Cosmology Lectures are a series of public talks engaging the local community in the exciting latest developments towards understanding the fundamental nature of the universe. These talks bring luminaries of cosmology to Riverside and the community educate the public.
These talks are free and open to the public, and no physics background is required to enjoy and learn from them.

UCR University Theatre
CECI will be hosting its next public event on the frontiers of cosmology on Thursday, June 4th in the UCR University Theatre. The event will begin with a reception at 5:00 pm to be followed by a public lecture by Dr. Adam Riess, the Bloomberg Distinguished Professor and Barber Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University and the 2011 Nobel Laureate in Physics. Free parking is available in Lot 6 with online registration.

This event is free and open to the public. The local community, and middle and high school students, are strongly encouraged to attend.
